Objectives

  1. To develop, organize and coordinate workshops, Conferences and seminars for Pastors, Teachers, Church Leaders and interested individuals in the areas of Holistic Counseling and Educational Developments,
  2. To develop christian counseling Curricula for Christian day schools,
  3. To organize and coordinate dispute management and reconciliation programs for fundamental and evangelical churches,
  4. To establish a data base research center for the purpose of identifying counseling and educational needs, so as to take prompt action, and
  5. To establish a Christian Residential Program for Delingquet Juvenile.

Founder

Mr. Henry N. Scere, II at present a student of Sioux Falls Seminary in Sioux Falls, South Dakota where he is working on his Master of Divinity with concentration on Pastoral Care and Counseling. He obtained his Master of Acts in Theology with concentration in Biblical Counseling (2007) from Central Baptist Theological Seminary in Plymouth, Minnesota. He holds a Bachelor of Theology degree (B.Th.) from Gbarnga School of Theology in Liberia (2000). He has also obtained advanced certificates from several organizations in the areas of basic Social Work, Counseling, and Child Evangelism etc.

He has been involved in the Ministry of Counseling for eight years, having served as President of the Youth and Young Adult Department of the Calvary Baptist Church for four years. Mr. Scere has served for five years as Peer Counselor and Family Life Educator for the Family Planning Association of Liberia (FPAL), Bible Teacher and Counselor of the Calvary Baptist Church School and Guidance Counselor of SOS Children Villages Liberia Hermann Gmeiner International School-Monrovia, and Director of the Counseling Program of Liberia Opportunities Industrialization Centers (LOIC) – Monrovia Program.

At present he serves as Director of the Health-Counseling and Reconciliation Department of the Calvary Baptist Church, and Executive Director of HOCBCEE. While studying at the Sioux Falls Seminary, he is also serving as Residential Counselor at the Summit Oaks Center of the Lutheran Social Services of South Dakota.

He was ordained by the First Baptist Church of Sioux Falls, SD., on October 25, 2009 and is a founding member of the African Ministerial Association of Sioux Falls, SD. Mr. Scere will be serving the First Baptist Church as the minister to the African Community of Sioux Falls.

Mr. Scere is married to Estella and the union is blessed with three children: Zindeh, Bess, Yohnde, and Destinee. His wife is a graduate of the University of Liberia, majoring Sociology and Demography minor. She also provides administrative service in project analysis. She presently a graduate student of the University of Sioux Falls in South Dakota, where she working on her MBA in Healthcare Administration.

Administrative Structure

The Lord has blessed us with the seven-person Board of Directors, and Executive Director, Assistant Director, and other support staff who are volunteers (as it may be known, a volunteer is a person that puts in his/her three T’s: Talents, Treasury and Times). These people have decided to provide services to this God given Ministry as their ways of sharing the GOOD NEWS.
